Turning over of the Donated Robotics Kit to Guihulngan National High School-Poblacion
Children learn how to build, program, assemble, and operate robots through educational robotics.
These include artificial intelligence, specialized sensors, electronic applications, engineering technologies, environmental physics, manufacturing, topographical considerations, programming communications, simulation, modeling, and critical thinking abilities
These tasks necessitates the application of reasoning and problem-solving techniques, or the growth of computational thinking.
Robotics is not only a great way to hone critical problem-solving abilities but also a great way to spark imagination and curiosity.
The donated Robotics Kit is worth forty one thousand two hundred pesos (Php 41,200.00).
Realizing such milestones calls for collaboration and shared vision between the PTA, led by Engineer BON MARK UY, and the SGC (School Governing Council), which is represented by Secretary Audrey Mae Perpy A. Cantila.

This timely success is also made possible by the constant support of three dynamic and proactive leaders of GNHS-Poblacion: Lead Principal, Dr. Dante A. Gabuya, principal of SSP/SPA, Christian Edu Villegas, and Senior High School principal, JURDAN EROJO.

Guihulngan National High School shall provide necessary facilities and support for the implementation of these collaborative activities.
The school will also incorporate technology-related content into the curriculum where appropriate.
And the school administrators shall promote and facilitate the participation of students and faculty in collaborative programs.

In order to ensure that this new venture is successful, BON MARK ELECTRONICS, a business enterprise with an office address at Brgy. Poblacion Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, and its owner, ENGR. BON MARK G. UY, will assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions and provide technical support and expertise as needed.
“Give a Heart” was the subject for the inaugural beauty, brains, and talent competition held on Valentine’s Day, 1992, at Guihulngan Poblacion High School. Miss Ma became the first queen to be crowned. Mercedes-Benz.
The founding father himself, Mayor Ernesto A. Reyes, was present during the coronation ceremony as an honored guest.
First Induction Program
On August 10, 1991, the first group of officers of the GPHS Mentors’ Club swore an oath of office. Mrs. Teresita P. Limbaga served as the school’s administrator.
Mr. Renato Estorco was elected as the Club President. Mrs. Nida Llegado served as Vice-President. Ms. Maribel Sanchez served as the secretary. Shiela Aguirre was the elected treasurer. Mrs. Rizalina Paglinawan was the auditing official. Mr. Roy Hino-o served as the P.R.O.
Teresita CaƱete was chosen to serve as the business manager. Ms. Nelsie Camingay was chosen as the Muse. Mr. Belmar Dupio was the prince charming in this story.
School Band & CAT Sponsors
Under Miss Maribel Sanchez’s guidance, the school formed its first school band in 1993.

School Governing Council and External Stakeholders
Guihulngan National High School-Poblacion’s School Governing Council met with external stakeholders to address important issues and concerns aimed at enhancing the quality of education and ensuring student safety.
The team conducted an ocular inspection for the Material Recovery Facility and alternative parking spaces together with Atty. Gem Mijares, Engr. Bon Mark, Ivy Bustamante and SP, Jojo Dela Rita Jr.
The Guihulngan National High School Poblacion Online Publication Platform is an Adopt a School Project of Bon Mark Electronics.
The school is in need of a full institutional presence and transparency online aside from social media platforms to provide timely and complete information to the community. There is a need to take advantage of online technology providing institutional information and updates for its students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders.
Bon Mark Electronics provides Professional Electronics Services and other sales and services related to the Electronics Engineering Practice. Due to the technological facilities and technical capabilities that Bon Mark Electronics can provide and as part of its Social Business Responsibility, it has adopted the online publication platform of Guihulngan National High School Poblacion by providing a domain under negor.ph and hosting the website under its facilities for free.

This partnership development is under the initiative and Leadership of the School Management Council under the Chairmanship of Ms. Ivy Bustamante with the principals Mr. Chritian Edu Villegas, Mr. Jurdan Erojo, and Head Principal Mr. Dante Gabuya.
The content management of the site is lead by the School Publication Office under the leadership of Ms. Claire Valencia and Mr. Emman Feb Barutag. Online version of the regular School Paper Publication called “Blue Oracle” will also be available on this platform.
